Showing for the first time at Oliva Arauna Gallery, the Berlin based artist Adriana Molder (Lisbon, 1975) will present a new project that has as a starting point an imaginary dialogue between a drawing by Odilon Redon and a painting by Pietro Longhi.
This new drawing series have been named “En la casa del Leon” ("In the Lion's house") referring to the piece “Il casotto del Leone” by Longhi. Molder starts with the recreation of a Redon drawing that appears as the narrator of the whole series. She watches what is happening in the lion’s house and describes all it’s mysterious and peculiar characters. Large scale ink drawings on translucent paper will create the illusion of a narrative in the Oliva Arauna Gallery.
