My photographic work emerges, like always, from a looking, a inquisitor looking, trying to discover what there is at the other side, a curious looking.

The stage has been built with the basic elements that make the action of looking, the one who looks, something that is being looking, the space between them, and “the nobody’s land”, a diffused zone. This is a representation, like in the geometry, of a curious search to find what there is at the other side.

In my past works the spectator donut get to discover all the things that he can guess, but now, my intention is a portrait in the most pure meaning of the word.

Every work of this exhibition emerge from the necessity that we have to preserve the pictures of our relatives. Any way, I resist to portray to somebody without the ussuales components of my work: our disturbing way of look, see, look ourselves, the way that we make a representation of the world, the ambiguity… Propped up, closed, supporting a load, an obligation, the artist point of view or the spectator’s. All of them are ideas that contaminate my work, not everything is functional, there is poesy yet.
